A federal grand jury indicted three men on drug, robbery and firearms charges Wednesday stemming from an 18-day crime spree that left four people dead and injured eight others.
Teddy Weems, 20, and Jarvis Brown and Gabriel Jordan, both 25, could face the death penalty if convicted of all charges, Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew P. Brookman said.
Brown, Jordan and Weems robbed various drug dealers and gambling houses in Indianapolis and Evansville to obtain cash and drugs over an 18-day period that ended Dec. 31, according to the indictment.
The men used an assault rifle, shotguns and various handguns, prosecutors said.
The trio were charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine, cocaine and marijuana; conspiracy to commit robbery; and federal charges related to the use of firearms during the commission of drug trafficking or violent crime.
All three are in custody.
