Police in eastern Tennessee say they found a school bus driver passed out behind the wheel of a loaded bus that was stopped in the middle of a road.
None of the 30 children aboard were hurt Tuesday morning and the driver was charged with driving under the influence.
Loudon Police Chief James Webb says Vicky Lynn Kwasny received a blood-alcohol test but the results were not immediately available.
Kwasny was taken to a hospital and then to jail, where she remained in custody. A jail spokeswoman said there was no record showing she has retained an attorney.
School officials say the 48-year-old woman worked for the district since November and had a clean driving record. She passed a background check and two drug screenings.
