Integral Hires Senior Engineers to Support Clients in Site Remediation and Habitat Restoration

Mr. Carscadden returns to Integral as a Principal Engineer, after serving as an early contributor to the firm's initial growth and success.   He will lead Integral's remedial design practice, assisting clients with strategic planning, site characterization and feasibility assessments, and design and implementation of environmental cleanups, site development, and habitat restoration projects.

SEATTLE, Sept. 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Environmental consulting firm Integral Consulting Inc. announces the expansion of its engineering services with the addition of senior professional engineers Reid Carscadden, P.E., and Benjamin Starr, P.E. Mr. Carscadden returns to Integral as a Principal Engineer, after serving as an early contributor to the firm's initial growth and success.   He will lead Integral's remedial design practice, assisting clients with strategic planning, site characterization and feasibility assessments, and design and implementation of environmental cleanups, site development, and habitat restoration projects.   

Mr. Starr will serve as a Senior Engineer for a broad range of in-water and upland environmental remediation projects. His combined training and experience as both a civil engineer and ecologist will also help to further Integral's habitat restoration capabilities.  Mr. Carscadden and Mr. Starr will be based in Seattle, WA, supporting Integral projects in both the Northwest and across the U.S.

Reid Carscadden, P.E., offers 25 years of experience in support of environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering projects. He has led numerous sediment and upland remediation and restoration projects in Southeast Alaska, Puget Sound, and the Lower Willamette River valley, as well as projects in the Midwest and Gulf of Mexico. In addition, Mr. Carscadden has extensive experience in the design and construction of dams and infrastructure for mining, water supply, flood control, and irrigation projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.  With his wide range of experience, he offers a broad practical perspective and innovative approach to problem-solving and implementation of complex multifaceted projects.

Benjamin Starr, P.E., is a civil engineer with broad experience in environmental and water resources engineering. Mr. Starr has served as project engineer and task manager for remediation, habitat restoration, and civil infrastructure projects in upland and marine environments. He has conducted site investigations, engineering analyses and design, cost estimates, and comparative analyses of remediation technologies at sites with impacted sediments, soil, and groundwater. Mr. Starr has prior experience as an ecologist and has performed ecosystem-scale research of global climate change processes for a leading university laboratory. His combined experience in engineering and science provide a unique breadth of skills and understanding of environmental systems.
