REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and CHICAGO, Sept. 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HR Technology Conference -- BroadVision (Nasdaq:BVSN) (), a pioneer in e-business and enterprise social networking solutions, today announced the availability of the Clearvale API. This release comes in tandem with two other announcements; BroadVision's Ecosystem launch and the implementation of their HR Solutions with human interface solutions innovator, Synaptics. BroadVision announced the Clearvale API today at the HR Technology Conference in Chicago.

BroadVision recently launched the Clearvale™ platform, a "network of networks" where more than 1,000 businesses are already engaging with employees, partners, and customers in an open, navigable cloud-based environment.

"Standalone enterprise social networks are valuable," says BroadVision Director of Product Strategy, Richard Hughes. "But where they add the most value is where they are tightly integrated to 'systems of record' such as HR, CRM and ERP systems. That's what the Clearvale API enables."

The Clearvale API (application programming interface) provides access to a wide range of social functionality, including blogs, microblogs, discussions, contact networks and document sharing. It is available to software vendors, systems integrators and end-customers so that Clearvale social capability can be embedded in packaged software, or integrated into bespoke solutions. Clearvale provides a RESTful API, making it available to the widest possible range of platforms.

"The investment in existing corporate IT systems is immense, yet no organization can afford to ignore the benefits of social software in the workplace," says Hughes. "We believe that combining existing investments with Clearvale social capabilities gives companies the ideal way of turning their 'systems of record' into 'systems of engagement'."
