RadioShack Corp. is now selling Apple Inc.'s iPad 2 tablet computer.

Rumors had swirled that the consumer electronics chain would begin selling the popular device. On Tuesday RadioShack's website had a feature that helped users find out which of its stores were selling the iPad 2.

The new iPad model comes with several improvements over the original version but the same price tag — $499 to $829, depending on storage space and whether users can connect to the Internet over a cellular network.

The iPad 2 looks much like the first iPad, only with a sleeker, lighter body and a curved back. Among changes is the inclusion of cameras for videoconferencing, one on the front and one on the back.

RadioShack has struggled with competition from online retailers like Amazon.com and bigger electronics players like Best Buy Co. The company has shifted its focus to smartphones and wireless plans and selling cell phones and products at mobile phone kiosks with some success.
