A toilet turned into a snake. Pillows rearranged to resemble a dog. Toilet paper shaped into the outline of a body in the manner of a crime scene.
These are all creations left behind in hotel rooms by comedian and actor Bert Kreischer, host of the Travel Channel's "Bert the Conqueror" television show.
Kreischer tells the Australian website news.com.au that his goal is to leave each room in a "semi-disturbing manner."
Kreischer says hotel hijinks began in a room in San Antonio, Texas.
"I realized that if a maid was insightful enough she could tell exactly what I had done in my hotel room and she might think less of me," he told the news website.
"So I tried to throw her off my trail by putting an ironing board in the bathroom next to a pillow encrusted toilet … and that started it all."
Kreischer's pranks have since evolved into such creations as a food cart that appears to show a man hiding underneath and what looks like a pair of legs stuffed under a bed.
"I am long gone by the time anyone from the hotel sees my 'art,' but I always leave a generous tip and never destroy anything or create anything that would be a hassle to put back together in a matter of seconds," he says.
