Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio sat down with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and discussed the campaign trail and the criticism of his recent debate performance last Saturday.

"And I will say it again: Barack Obama is trying to change America and he is doing damage with those changes," Rubio said, emphasizing the point he made on the debate stage multiple times.

Rubio said he welcomes the criticism, saying if he is his opponents' main target, he is campaigning well. He then expressed his full confidence in his candidacy, noting he has five years of foreign policy and national security experience on in the Senate.

"When it’s all said is done, and all the delegates are counted up we’re going to have more than half of them and we are going to be the nominee," he said. "Of that, I remain 100 percent convinced."
