ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Up to 40 people suffered mainly minor injuries when a stage collapsed at a high school in southern California.

Firefighters and medics responded to a call shortly before 11 p.m. PT Saturday (2 a.m. ET Sunday) after the stage gave way at Servite High School, according to the Anaheim fire department.

The dispatch surpervisory office said 30-40 patients were transported to hospitals.
