A hailstorm sent torrents of water cascading through a city in eastern Spain on Tuesday, flooding houses and washing away cars.
The downpour in Teruel lasted less than 20 minutes but left chaos in its wake. Hundreds of people were left without power and crops in nearby fields were damaged, according to the Diario de Teruel, though there were no reported injuries.
"We woke up from siesta and when we wanted to leave the house we saw my car floating away in the water," a student named David told the newspaper. He and his housemates had to flee via the roof.
