Rapper Rick Ross was in the midst of a serious health scare on Friday, according to TMZ.
The website reports that Ross was on a Delta Air Lines flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Memphis, Tenn., when he suffered a seizure and lost consciousness. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Ross was being tended to by emergency workers at the airport when he landed.
"Members of Rick's entourage are standing by, some of them extremely emotionally upset," TMZ reported at the time.
Update 11:50 a.m. PT: The Associated Press reports that Ross was traveling to perform later Friday at the University of Memphis basketball team's "Midnight Madness" event and that a Memphis official says Ross called and promised he would still make it.
Update 11 a.m. PT: Rapper Wale, a friend of Ross's, tweeted that he talked to Ross and says he is "100 pct ok." TMZ reports that Ross has been transported to a hospital.
