The challenge of matching colorful candy rows has proven a sweet formula for game-maker King, whose app Candy Crush is one of today’s most popular games. The saccharine puzzle game, which easily wooed the mobile and tablet market, has more than 700 million games played daily.

The Candy Crush Saga even has inspired an actual candy line at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York.
