A small mistake can be the difference between life and death for patients. American nurse Nora Hellman, working at the International Medical Corps Ebola treatment unit in Liberia, carries a cardboard “cheat sheet” with her notes “so I don’t forget anything while I’m inside.”

Ebola has infected at least 13,000 people in West Africa, and killed at least 5,000. If the deadly virus isn't stopped, the CDC estimates that up to 1.4 million people could be infected by the end of January 2015.
