Delta Air Lines Inc. on Wednesday said passengers traveling through storm-socked cities in the Northeast can change their flight schedules without penalty.

Travelers who and are scheduled to fly on Delta, Delta Connection or other Delta-coded flights though Friday can make a one-time change to fly as late as Saturday. Passengers whose flights were canceled can request refunds.

Cities affected include Boston; Cleveland; Hartford, Conn.; Newark, New Jersey; New York; and Philadelphia.

The powerful winter storm dumped rain and snow across parts of the region, forcing schools and businesses to close and knocking out power to thousands of electric customers.
