The newly opened Nines is offering a wide selection of affordably priced packages (ostensibly to celebrate its recent addition to the Luxury Collection of Starwood Hotels). We like the one called A Shopping Affair, which includes a one-night stay, breakfast for two daily, valet parking, and a $100 gift card for Saks Fifth Avenue. The Nines occupies the top nine stories (which explains the hotel's name) of the historic landmark Meier & Frank building, next to Portland's Pioneer Square and a MAX Light Rail station. The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Portland Art Museum, Powell's Bookstore, Keller Auditorium, PGE Park, Rose Quarter, and the Chinese Garden are all within a mile of the hotel.
