A new scam is going around Facebook luring unsuspecting victims with the promise of a video showing teen sensation Justin Bieber hitting a girl.

Reported by Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at the security firm Sophos, the scam messages circulating around the massive social networking site come with titles such as "OH MY GOD!...Justin BIEBER Hits Girl For NO Reason!" and "OMG! This Is So Badd!"

Following the fraudulent link will take users to what appears to be a Fox News TV report with the image of a young girl and the words "Click here."

But once clicked, "The rogue application will, if you give it permission, be able send you emails, access your friend lists, gather your personal information, and post messages to your wall," Cluley stated.
