A 12-year-old and his 10-year-old sister chased after a woman who snatched their mother's purse near the Daytona Beach pier.

Police say they arrested 20-year-old Ashley Turner on Sunday after Angel Baldwin and his younger sister Carina Baldwin chased the woman across the beach.

The younger child followed Turner into the bathroom of a nearby store, where police say Turner tossed the purse and took off.

"I kept saying give me my mom's purse back, and she kept saying 'I have no idea what you're talking about,'" said Angel Baldwin, according to Orlando station WFTV.

Authorities caught up with Turner about a block away. She faces grand theft charges and remains in the Volusia County Jail. No attorney was listed for her.

The children's mother, Angela Baldwin, says she's proud of them, but told them, "next time you call for help."
