Autopsy results are expected to be released soon in the death of a Virginia woman aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, officials said Wednesday.
FBI Baltimore field office spokesman Rich Wolf said the 64-year-old woman from Midlothian, Va., died of "undetermined causes" while traveling on the Enchantment of the Seas. Her husband reported finding her dead in her cabin Sunday, and FBI agents met the cruise when it pulled into Baltimore the next morning.
An autopsy has been done, and results were expected to be made public soon, a spokesman for the chief medical examiner's office said Wednesday. The woman's name has not been released.
The FBI has interviewed the woman's husband, crew members, employees and some passengers, Wolf said. He added that everyone had been cooperative with the investigation.
"We don't have anybody who is a suspect in any sort of criminal investigation right now," he said.
The woman's husband described to agents his wife's medical condition, her health and other circumstances, Wolf said.
"He provided a very detailed account of what happened, including some details about the woman that we're not releasing right now," he said.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said in a statement that the ship concluded its seven-night sailing in Baltimore as scheduled Monday after making port calls to Port Canaveral, Fla.; Nassau; and Coco Cay, Bahamas.
