May 15th, 2015 Statement from David Moore, Ricky Spencer's attorney:
Following the adjudication of this case, Ricky Spencer was both an ideal inmate in the St Joseph County Jail and an ideal probationer. Both his jail and probation terms were shortened due to his excellent behavior.
Currently, he is living a quiet and productive life, both working and attending college.
Each day he regrets his role in this terrible tragedy. Each day he hope and prays for peace and comfort for the entire Venus Stewart family.
