Talya Thompson was last seen around 11:00am Friday, leaving the campus of her high school in Pasadena, California. The 14-year-old has not been seen since.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, the John Muir High School student was not reported missing until Sunday.
“She was supposed to be with her older sister and the older sister thought she was with the mom,” Lt. Jesse Carrillo told the City News Service. “Police are concerned it took this long to report her missing.”
Officials have not released any more information about Talya’s disappearance, but have said they hope she sees that her parents are worried and contacts them.
