Here's Who We'll Be Watching at the 17th Latin Grammys

The 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards are Thursday, and here is what to expect from the biggest night for Latin music.

The 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards are Thursday, and here is what to expect from the biggest night for Latin music.

Hosted by Argentinian actor Sebastian Rulli and Puerto Rican actress and singer Roselyn Sanchez, stars scheduled to perform include J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, Prince Royce and "Norteño" singer songwriter Gerardo Ortiz.

Dozens of Latin music's biggest artists — both new and classic — will be recognized in this year's event. The coveted Song of the Year Latin Grammy will go to one of 10 songs from these nominees: Enrique Iglesias, Carlos Vives, Shakira, Pepe Aguilar, Pablo Alborán, Andrea Bocelli, Buika, Djavan, Jesse & Joy, Laura Pausini or Diego Torres.

Marc Anthony is set to take the stage at the in Las Vegas Thursday night. Anthony received the honor of Person of the Year Wednesday night in a special ceremony. Salsa sensations Victor Manuell, Gilberto Santa Rosa and more paid tribute to his career by singing more than two decades of his greatest hits.

The award show will be broadcast live on Univision at 8 p.m. EST.

"Imagine, for me it has been a tremendous surprise and a great honor that the Academy has named me Person of the Year this year," Anthony said in an interview with the Associated Press. "I really did not expect it, but I'm very excited to know that my work, my career and my philanthropic work is recognized and that I will be in the company of many of my friends and co-workers that day to celebrate it. I am truly humbled."

Anthony is not the only one making a mark in this year's event. Jennifer Lopez will perform at the award show for the first time. Lopez has been working on a new-all Spanish album with the aid of her ex-husband Anthony, which is rumored to be released by the end of this year.
