The Detroit mother accused of killing her two young children and concealing their bodies in a freezer entered a courtroom Thursday flashing her middle fingers.

Mitchelle Blair's latest obscene display in court follows a similar stunt last week, when she screamed multiple times that she killed her children, Stoni Ann Blair, 13, and Stephen Gage Berry, 9.

Blair, 35, did not testify during Thursday's custody hearing. She instead directed her gestures at the fathers of Stoni Ann and Stephen.

Alexander Dorsey and Steven Berry are attempting to win parental rights for their respective children still alive — a 17-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son. Those siblings had been living with Blair before she was arrested in March, when the bodies of the other children were discovered in a deep freezer in her home.

The state, however, is seeking to end the parental rights of their fathers as well. Blair has said the men were absent from the children's lives.

Blair faces murder and child abuse-related charges after police say she tortured and killed her children between 2012 and 2013. She has pleaded not guilty.

A friend of Blair's testified Thursday that Blair, nicknamed Angel, was protective of her children, and only saw her be violent toward them once.

A Wayne County Circuit Court judge set closing arguments in the custody hearing for June 30. Blair, however, is due in court on June 19 on the criminal charges.
