In a bid to set a new world record, a total of 2,001 people, mostly students, hugged trees on the outskirts of Nepal's capital Kathmandu, for about two minutes Thursday to mark World Environment Day. The previous mass tree-hugging record was set in the U.S. when 936 people hugged trees in 2013.
