LONDON — Prince Harry — arguably the world’s most eligible bachelor — revealed Monday he would "love to have kids right now" but is still looking to meet the right person.

The British royal made the comments in a candid interview with U.K. broadcaster Sky News while on an official trip to New Zealand.

"I don’t think you can force these things, it will happen whenever it’s going to happen," the 30-year-old prince said.

"Of course I’d love to have kids right now but there’s a process that one has to go through," he added with a wry smile. "Hopefully I’m doing alright by myself [but] it would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure."

The prince was reflecting on the recent birth of the second royal baby of his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge.

While he has shed the "Party Prince" image he garnered in his youth, he has yet to settle in a steady relationship.

Previous long-term girlfriends have included Zimbabwean lawyer Chelsy Davy and British actress Cressida Bonas, with whom he split last year.
