Thousands of displaced Gaza residents have left the Khan Younis area as Israel's army escalated its offensive in the region, with many going to Rafah. The IDF has said that it was deepening its ground maneuver “to the west” of Khan Younis and reiterated allegations that Hamas “embeds itself in the civilian population.”
