Competitors faced-off in the 55th German finger wrestling championships Sunday in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a mountain resort town in Bavaria. The sport, known as Fingerhakeln in German, pits two competitors matched in age and weight against each other. The players sit at a specially-designed table and pull at a small leather band with one finger until one player has pulled the other across.
