An 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with murder in relation to a quadruple homicide in an Ohio home, officials said.
The Columbus Police Department said the suspect was arrested on Sunday and has been charged with four counts of murder and five counts of kidnapping. NBC News is not naming the suspect because it was not immediately clear if he had been charged as an adult.
The suspect's arrest came one day after four people — Michael Ballour, 41, Angela Harrison, 35, Tyajah Nelson, 18, and 36-year-old Daniel Sharp — were found dead inside a Columbus home by officers responding to an early-morning call about a woman with blood on her.
Officers found the woman alive upon arrival, police said in a statement, and then discovered the four deceased victims inside the home. Police did not identify the survivor but said she has been treated and released from the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities are “working around the clock” to find another man they believe is involved with the killings, Sgt. Dave Sicilian told NBC affiliate WCMH.
