Is college football's play of the year balloting already closed?

The wacky fumble-almost-sack-almost-interception-miracle-touchdown pass Saturday night in Ole Miss' upset of Alabama is certainly the early-season frontrunner.

Up 17-10 at the half, Mississippi extended that lead early in the third quarter when Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly tossed up what amounted to a Hail Mary toward a crowd of people as he desperately tried to avoid a sack. The fluttering pass bounced off an Alabama defender's helmet… and right into the arms of Quincy Adeboyejo, who raced 66 yards for a touchdown.

Ole Miss held on for a 43-37 win.
