A 3-year-old Missouri boy who disappeared early Wednesday morning has been found dead, authorities said.
The body of Titus Greyson Tackett was found in a van near his Iron County home, about 95 miles south of St. Louis, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. An apparent cause of death was not immediately available.
Officials say the boy's grandparents were babysitting and had fallen asleep when Titus disappeared. When the boy's parents returned home around 1 a.m., they discovered their son was missing and the front door was standing open.
The highway patrol said an autopsy will be conducted, and the results will determine if foul play resulted in his death.
