Barack Obama entered the national spotlight with his rousing 2004 speech at the Democratic National Convention, so it seems fitting that he appears at the DNC once again--12 years to the day after he gave the keynote address as a Senate candidate from Illinois--as he attempts to pass the political baton to Hillary Clinton.
In 2004, Obama received a standing ovation when he said, “I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America — there’s the United States of America.”
