Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid boasted Thursday that an op-ed penned by Charles Koch is proof he is getting under the skin of the conservative mega-donors.

Reid has made it a habit of harshly critiquing the Koch brothers and their group, Americans for Prosperity, which has given millions to support conservative candidates and causes. The Nevada Democrat has previous called the duo “un-American” and accused them “buying America.”

“I think I must be getting under their skin,” Reid said during a rally Thursday to raise the minimum wage. “They wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal telling everybody I was a collectivist, which is code word for you-know-what.”

Charles Koch’s op-ed defended both himself and his brother, David, against critics who are attempting to “intimidate opponents” rather than “understand my vision for a free society.”
