Chrysler Group’s 2007 Dodge Caliber has performed well in a variety of internal and external crash tests, exceeding all Federal safety standards for side impact protection.
Caliber received the Federal government’s highest ratings, 5 stars, for frontal and side impact crash protection.
The vehicle is equipped with a high-strength steel structure and more than 25 advanced safety and security features, including standard advanced multistage driver and front passenger air bags, inflatable driver knee blocker and standard side-curtain airbags.
While no single test can determine a vehicle’s overall safety performance, the Chrysler Group continues to pursue every opportunity to improve the crashworthiness of its vehicles. Our priority continues to be designing vehicles that perform safely for our customers and their families in real world driving conditions.
Hyundai
Hyundai is confident that the Tucson performs safely for owners, drivers and passengers. The Tucson fully complies with all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and has received the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s highest crash test rating (five stars) for both front and side impacts. As with every Hyundai, we have engineered a computer designed passenger compartment structure, energy absorbing front, side and rear structures and impact diffusion load paths to provide excellent passenger and driver protection. To this structure in the Tucson, Hyundai adds a six-airbag system including roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes and seatbelt pretensioners. The result is that both front and rear passengers enjoy a high level of crash protection.

KIA
We are pleased that IIH’s testing validates that the Kia Optima provides protection of vital body areas of the occupants, including the head, chest, and neck as demonstrated by receiving a ‘Good’ rating from the institute.
The Optima, which like all Kia vehicles meets and exceeds federal guidelines for occupant safety, is constantly being evaluated and redesigned for improved safety, durability and performance.
Toyota
Toyota is very interested in the results of IIHS and other third party tests as it augments our own internal testing. Toyota conducts ongoing comprehensive crash tests on all of its vehicle models, an example of our ongoing commitment to build safe cars and trucks. The RAV4 and Camry, like all Toyota, Scion and Lexus products, meet all federal government safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards.
