The deal
If you want to head to Florida in the next few weeks, we suggest a couple of relaxing days on Fort Lauderdale’s beaches. In fact, with the deals we found you can book a hotel room for a fraction of the usual cost. A pleasant budget overnight costs only $79; rooms at an oceanfront midrange spot sell for a mere $80/night; while a stay at a top-rated deluxe property now goes for an incredibly low $149.

Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six for $149 a night
This is a gorgeously landscaped spot in the top tier of Ft. Lauderdale’s four-stars. Frommer’s writes, “Located on 22 tropical acres on the Intracoastal Waterway, this resort is best known for its world-class marina and its rooftop lounge that spins every 66 minutes.” The tropically-themed guestrooms come with a full spectrum of deluxe trappings. On the premises are five restaurants, two bars and varied recreational facilities that include a European-style spa. Rack rates here run upward of $280/night but book through Orbitz and you’ll pay just $149!

OceanManorBeach Resort special for $80 a night
Excellently located right on the beach and a short drive to downtown Ft. Lauderdale, this three-star property features pleasant rooms. Each unit comes with ocean or city views and all the midrange trimmings. ThisIsTravel.com describes it as a “well-furnished choice with good range of facilities, on own private section of beach.” On site are also an Italian restaurant, a heated swimming pool, and an oceanfront Tiki bar. As a value-added, valet parking is included in the nightly rate. Hotels.com now offers overnights here for $80!

Fort Lauderdale Beach Palace Hotel for $79 a night
Despite the name, this budget spot isn’t directly on the beach but close enough. In fact, it’s only half-a-mile from the ocean. If that’s still too far to travel, you can take a dip in the hotel’s outdoor pool, sip a cocktail by the poolside bar and get a snack at the on-premise restaurant. The simple but cozy rooms come with a pool-facing balcony; some have ocean vistas, too. As a nice perk, complimentary continental breakfast is provided. Book through Hotels.com and enjoy a steal of a night here for just $79.
