Authorities say fire was seen on a JetBlue flight from Orlando after it landed safely in the Bahamas.

JetBlue Airways Corp. spokesman Bryan Baldwin says Flight 1781 from Orlando International Airport to Nassau landed Thursday afternoon about an hour after taking off. Fire was reported on the left side of the plane near the engine.

The 89 passengers — including five infants — and four crew members were removed from the plane using evacuation slides on the right side of the aircraft. Airport officials in Nassau extinguished the flames.

Baldwin said no one was injured and there was no visible damage to the plane.

No further information was immediately released. Baldwin says the aircraft is out of service and Forest Hills, N.Y.-based JetBlue will investigate.
