Southern hospitality reigns supreme in a new survey from Condé Nast Traveler rating both the friendliest and unfriendliest cities in America. The top spot? For the second year in a row, simply head south to Charleston, South Carolina.
Visitors praised Charleston as a “quaint and special little gem” and for its underrated local culture, history, scenic beauty and food. Just behind Charleston, Savannah comes in as the second friendliest city in America.
As for least friendly? That dubious honor goes to Newark, N.J., described by one reader as an "airport city.' The full list:
