'Hamilton', after taking the world by storm is saying goodbye to its founding father Lin-Manuel Miranda. The creator and star of the award-winning Broadway musical is set to give his final performance on Saturday night.
For his last act, "tickets for tomorrow's performances are running upwards of five digits", said Carson Daly from the Today Show.
"The first inspiration of making Hamilton into a musical is when I realized he left his island in the Caribbean because he had a chance at education. My dad did the same thing. He got a full ride to NYU (New York University)", Miranda said in an interview with the Today Show.
The hottest show on Broadway in years will see a new leader and new cast as Miranda sets sail, sending the musical into its next chapter.

The Pulitzer Prize, Emmy, two-time Grammy and eleven-time Tony Award winner, Mirandai, will still make appearances at the Hamilton performances as the musical goes on tour across the United States.
What's next for Miranda? An upcoming movie sequel to "Mary Poppins" featuring Emily Blunt, according to the Today Show and a new hit single dedicated to the victims of the Orlando shooting with actress, singer and producer Jennifer Lopez.

The duo is expected to appear on the Today Show Monday, July 11, to perform their new single live.
