Tot falls from 5th-floor window — and survives

Police said  4-year-old child in Switzerland has survived after tumbling from a 5th-floor window onto a sidewalk 28 feet below.

Police in the northern canton of Aarau say the incident happened Sunday when the girl climbed onto a stove and opened a window to get a better view of a snowstorm.

Guests in a nearby restaurant heard a thud and found the girl had fallen onto the sidewalk below.

Police said she suffered bruises and a broken rib, and none of her injuries were life-threatening.
