I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you own an iPhone, the best smartwatch and fitness tracker for you is probably an Apple Watch. The question then becomes which one.
Apple launched new versions of all three of its Apple Watches back in September. I’ve been testing all three for months, and have been most surprised by how good of a deal the Apple Watch SE 3 is — even at full price. It’s on sale for the first time ever right now, making it an even better buy ahead of Black Friday.

The Apple Watch SE 3 tracks your health, sleep and workout data and syncs with your phone to mirror your apps and notifications. It’s exceedingly easy to use — most of its interface and apps mimic that of an iPhone. It’s square shape also makes it easy to read app notifications, workout stats and text. New to this version is an always-on screen and faster charging.
It comes in two sizes and there are dozens of watch band options available. The sale only applies to the starlight color of the Apple Watch SE 3, not the midnight color.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is also on sale for the first time ever — it’s $100 off right now. It’s Apple’s most premium smartwatch, with durable materials like titanium and sapphire crystal, extra long battery life (up to 42 hours in normal mode) and cellular and satellite connectivity. The apps and software are essentially the same as Apple’s other watches.
The sale only applies to the versions that come with the ocean watch band.
The older Apple Watch SE second generation is also on sale for 32% off right now — the brand is likely trying to clear out old inventory with the new SE 3 hitting store shelves. While it doesn’t have the always-on screen and fast charging of the new model mentioned above, it’s still an excellent, affordable option, especially for anyone trying a smartwatch for the first time.
