The Iraq government confirmed Thursday that it blocked access to some online services amid continued violence in the country. Reports surfaced last week that some Iraqis were unable to access sites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. "Kindly be advised that the Iraqi Government just TEMPORARILY stopped some of Apps (and Not the Internet Service) due to the critical security situation," the Iraqi Ministry of Communication said in an email to NBC News Thursday morning. "We appreciate your patience."
