Detroit's Black Bottom neighborhood — once a predominantly Black community buzzing with music, restaurants, hotels and clubs — was demolished in the 1960s to make way for I-375, one of the shortest interstates in America. Now officials want to tear the interstate down to build a boulevard lined with new businesses.
