‘I’m not bitter then, I’m not bitter now’: Rep. John Lewis on 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday
Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) joined “Meet the Press” on March 8, 2015 to discuss the “Bloody Sunday” march from Selma to Montgomery, Ala. for voting rights. Lewis marched with President Obama in 2015 for the event’s 50th anniversary. Lewis reflected on the use of police violence and said “I was not bitter then, I’m not bitter now.”
