This month, brands like Stanley, Rothy’s and Summer Fridays debuted brand-new products across categories.

This story is part of NBC Selected’s New & Notable column, where we highlight our favorite product launches. We will continuously update this article throughout the month with new releases we think you should know about.

Apparel and footwear launches

Hoka designed a unisex lifestyle version of its popular Clifton running and walking sneaker, giving you the same level of comfort and support in a stylish, street-ready shoe. It has lots of soft cushioning, grippy rubber outsoles and reflective laces, plus raised textured and mesh details on the upper (the fabric part that covers the top of your foot) to give it some flair. The Clifton UTL is currently only available in one color with additional seasonal shades dropping throughout September.

Mary Janes are having a moment lately, especially those from brands that traditionally make sports shoes. Teva is the latest company to get in on the trend with its Ampsole Gaila Mary Jane, which is a closed-toe version of its bestselling Hurricane Ampsole Gaila sandal. The shoe has an elevated platform, a grippy outsole and a cushy footbed. There’s also a buckle closure that makes the shoes easy to put on and take off.

The Ghost Amp is Brooks’ latest lightweight running shoe made for daily jogs and fast tempo workouts. They have a springy, propulsive feel, especially in the forefoot, helping you pop off your toes and roll into your next stride. The shoes are also made with soft cushioning and a balanced amount of support from heel to toe to keep your feet stable. You can buy the shoes in men’s and women’s standard and wide sizes.

Low-profile sneakers have been popular all year, and the Ivy Sneaker is Rothy’s take on the footwear trend. The shoes have a collegiate style, with their cleat-like rubber outsoles and vegan leather details, but they also have all the elements you know and love about Rothy’s: the cushioned footbed is comfortable, and you can throw them in the washing machine. The Ivy Sneaker, which is only available in women’s sizes, is made from Rothy’s ReVelvet fabric, a soft material that looks similar to suede.

Nobull Recharge Slide

Nobull’s Recharge Slides are great to wear after a workout, standing for hours or doing lots of walking. The shoes are specifically designed for recovery with soft cushioning and contours in the footbed that support your arches — Nobull says it decided exactly where to put the contours by evaluating 3D foot scans to ensure they were anatomically correct. The shoe’s footbed is also textured to add stability along with the strap. The Recharge Slide comes in men’s and women’s sizes.

“My feet breathe a sigh of relief when I put these slides on after running or wearing restrictive shoes all day at work,” says NBC Selected reporter Zoe Malin (the brand sent her a pair to test). “They don’t slip off when I’m moving around at home or walking my dog down the block, and I appreciate that the cushioning is soft enough to encourage my feet to release tension, but not so soft that I sink into it. I love the textured footbed, too — it definitely prevents my feet from sliding around, and it feels like a little massage.”

Lake’s BalanceKnit fabric is made from a material that has naturally derived minerals built-in — they respond to changes in body temperature so heat escapes when you’re warm and stays in when you’re cold, according to the brand. Lake used the fabric to create its first line of women’s thermoregulating pajamas, which are available in six initial styles. You can get a nightgown, shorts and short-sleeve shirt set, tank top and pants set, shorts and tank top set, long sleeve shirt and pants set, and short-sleeve shirt and pants set.

Malin wore Lake’s BalanceKnit pajamas for a few nights over the past two weeks after the brand sent her the tank top and shorts set. “As a hot sleeper, I’m always looking for pajamas that keep me cool overnight, and these delivered in the middle of a New York City heatwave,” she says. “The fabric is so soft and cozy, and it successfully kept me from overheating for hours, so I was happy to lounge around and get under the covers (with the AC on of course) in the set.”

Tech launches

Bose’s QuietComfort Headphones are one of the best over-ear options you can buy, and with the second edition, the brand added new features to make them even better. They now have improved noise cancellation, which you can opt to completely turn off in the app, and come with Bose Immersive Audio, a feature that gives you access to Cinema Mode to make dialogue clearer while watching videos.

There’s also two-way USB-C audio to enhance your video call experience and let you use the headphones while they’re plugged in to charge. Plus, the overall design of the headphones makes them feel more comfortable and look more modern: Their headband has smooth adjustable sliders, there’s extra plush cushioning throughout and the earcups are oval-shaped.

Many NBC Selected team members are fans of Shokz’s open earbuds, and the brand just added two new models to its lineup. First, OpenRun Air 2 is meant for you to wear while running, cycling, hiking and doing outdoor training. It’s the newest version of Shokz’s signature headphones, and it’s smaller in size and lighter in weight than the previous iteration, plus it has updated hooks that better fit the ears’ curves, which help them stay in place. The Open Run Air 2, which is water-resistant, also got performance upgrades to improve the listening experience, and its battery now lasts longer. You can control the headphones using the buttons on the sides while relying on the AI-powered microphone to reduce noise while you’re talking.

The OpenFit Air 2 is mainly a lifestyle open earbud, but you can wear it for light to medium-intensity workouts, too. It’s officially the lightest model in Shokz’s OpenFit collection, according to the brand, and more comfortable, stable and portable than the first version. Its sound has improved so everything you hear is fuller and more dynamic, and there’s less sound leakage when you’re in public spaces. Shokz also upgraded these headphones’ pressure-sensitive controls so they’re not triggered by stray hair or sweat droplets, according to the brand.

The Hatch Sleep Clock isn’t just a customizable sunrise alarm clock and sound machine, it’s also a sleep tracker that uses motion sensors to track your movements and breathing patterns throughout the night with 97 percent accuracy, according to the brand. You put it on your nightstand so it’s facing your body, and in the morning, the brand’s app gives you an overview of how you slept. As the app learns your sleep patterns, it recommends ways you can improve your slumber, too.

New features of the latest Hatch clock also include a built-in bedside light, and, like other versions, it has a phone-free design — once you set up your wake and sleep routines in the app, you can exclusively control the device with its buttons.

Beauty launches

Tower 28’s foundation is a companion to its Swipe Serum concealer, and it’s suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin. It has a non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic formula that includes hydrating ingredients like fermented oat, squalane and glycerin to keep skin from drying out throughout the day, according to the brand. The foundation’s key ingredient, however, is portulaca extract, which is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial that helps to soothe breakouts and irritation. It has a medium-buildable coverage and can be worn for up to 16 hours. It launched alongside the brand’s first-ever makeup tools, two complexion brushes: the Big Blender Brush for larger areas and the Baby Blender Brush for precision blending.

NBC Selected updates editor Mili Godio, who has very sensitive, acne-prone skin, says this foundation is her latest obsession. “I can wear it all day without having to worry about irritation or random breakouts. It has a dewy finish, which is great for my dry skin, and it makes my makeup look smooth and even,” she says. “I love applying it with the brand’s Big Blender Brush since it blends the foundation quickly and evenly. However, the texture is a little on the oilier side, so if you have oily skin, you might want to reconsider.”

Medicube is one of our favorite Korean skin care brands, and its new sheet mask is formulated to treat fine lines and boost your skin’s overall radiation. NAD+ helps improve elasticity, resulting in firmer, smoother skin, while collagen keeps skin hydrated, which helps produce the infamous “glass skin” look that K-beauty is known for. The gel mask hugs the skin and has a cooling feel that soothes any potential irritation, and can be used for three to four hours at a time or overnight for best results, according to the brand.

Summer Fridays launched its first body care line this month. The line includes butter balms, belly balms and body mists in delicious scents like pink guava, vanilla and pistachio milk. If you can’t decide what product (or scent) to try out first, you can purchase mini bundles like a body mist trio, body butter trio and this body essentials set that comes with the brand’s viral lip butter balm, too.

Cécred has finally launched a face product, but it’s not what you may think. The latest drop, a Restoring Lash & Brow Builder, expands on the brand’s Restoring Edge Drops to visibly improve the density of your eyelashes and eyebrows in only 30 days, according to the brand. The serum includes the brand’s biopeptide blend, which increases protein production and results in longer, thicker lashes and brows. It’s great for thinning caused by hormonal changes, over-plucking and more, and has a gentle formula that can be used daily, even by those with sensitive skin.

This new styling tool from Pattern Beauty has ceramic-coated plates that vibrate at up to 12,000 vibrations per minute for smooth, straight styling in less passes (meaning less heat damage), according to the brand. It includes an LCD display that shows real-time temperature, along with 14 customizable heat settings and a 60-minute auto-shutoff timer. The flat iron also has cool tip guards for added control and precision while styling. It launched alongside two new hair care products from the brand: Blow Out Primer and Detox Shampoo.

Tangle Teezer spent more than five years overhauling its classic hairbrush to create the Complete Carebrush, which comes in three versions to suit different hair types: fine hair (softest bristles), straight to wavy hair (medium bristles) and curly to coily hair (firmest bristles). Each brush has two tiers of teeth that are arranged diagonally, letting hair flow through at any angle to prevent breakage: one tier has longer, oval-shaped teeth to massage your scalp and smooth your hair, while the other has shorter, triangular teeth to detangle without damaging hair.

Malin has been a Tangle Teezer fan for years and says she immediately noticed the difference between the old and new brush the first time she used it (the brand sent her the one for curly to coily hair). “Beyond its paddle being bigger to cover more hair at once, it’s noticeably firmer as the brand describes — the bristles don’t bend or splay as they work their way through my thick hair, and the brush’s body is sturdier overall,” she says. “I use it for detangling knots in the shower after conditioning, which it successfully does without pulling at my hair or irritating my scalp.”

Olaplex’s first-ever hairspray has a 96-hour hold, according to the brand, leaving your style fully set and fizz-free. The formula includes encapsulated peptides to help repair broken bonds in your hair strands while strengthening your hair overall, along with polymers that control and keep frizz away. Malin has been testing Olaplex’s latest styling product for about two weeks since the brand sent it to her.

“I use hairspray to tame frizz after touching up a blowout or refreshing day-two curls, but I hate when it makes my hair crunchy,” she says. “Olaplex’s doesn’t do that at all. It smooths out my hair and keeps styles in place without making my hair look or feel stiff, and it smells incredible, which is an added bonus.”

The AquaReach is one of Shark’s newest floor-cleaning appliances, and it has everything you’d need in a mop and vacuum, plus extra accessories that make it a versatile home cleaner. It sucks up both solid and liquid spills and messes, so it’s suitable for cleaning food, dirt, mud and pet hair, according to the brand. Safe on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, stainless steel and more, the appliance comes with an extendable cleaning wand, which you can use on hard-to-reach and elevated areas, including baseboards, walls and backsplashes.

The wand sprays the cleaning solution on the surface and then sucks it up, just like with a regular vacuum. The appliance also has a self-cleaning feature that you can use by putting it back on the dock and allowing it to do a rinse wash. In fact, shoppers say the self-cleaning feature is one of the best facets of the appliance, in addition to how well it cleans hard surfaces.

Blueair is a major player when it comes to top-of-the-line air purifiers, with many of the brand’s appliances garnering thousands of positive reviews on Amazon and other retailers. But in addition to air quality appliances, the brand has started branching out into fans.

The Blueair Pedestal Air Circulator Fan is compatible with the Blueair app with WiFi connectivity, has 10 speeds and oscillates in both horizontal and vertical directions. It provides up to more than 100 square feet of circulation and the air moves up to nearly 20 miles per hour, according to the brand. Shoppers who reviewed the fan also say that it’s very quiet and almost inaudible on the first few low speeds, and that even when it makes some sound, it provides relaxing background noise.

The Ninja HydraSense is a water filtration system that fits on a table, countertop or other household flat surface — no need for fiddling with plumbing. The filter removes up to 99 percent of contaminants in water like PFAS (also known as “forever chemicals”), other types of microplastics and carcinogens, but without removing minerals that impact the flavor, according to Ninja. It also has a 120-gallon filter, so you can clean about six months of water before it needs replacing, and it comes with a stainless steel Ninja Thirsti water bottle that lets you take your water on the go.

This automatic Cricut heat press has an extra-large 15-by-15-inch heat plate, so you can use it for bigger projects, like customizing large items of clothing and blankets with iron-on designs. It’s also more powerful than the previous iteration: It provides up to 220 pounds of pressure and gets as hot as 410 degrees Fahrenheit. With Bluetooth, the AutoPress 2 connects to your phone and the Circuit Design Space, where you can create all of your personalized designs.

Stanley is best known for its durable, insulated water bottles and tumblers, but the brand just launched The Vitalize Tote, which easily holds many of its bestselling accessories. The tote has a combination of features you’d find on both a work tote and a cooler: It has a laptop sleeve on the inside with a velcro strap, multiple pockets and pouches inside, and an insulated cooler compartment on the bottom (perfect for canned drinks, snacks and sandwiches). Arguably its best feature is the pair of pockets — one on each side — that tightly hold multiple sizes of Stanley water bottles and tumblers, including 30- and 40-ounce ones with handles.

Dagne Dover’s Andre Backpack is a cross between a traditional backpack and a work tote, making it ideal for the office, classes, the gym and traveling. It has one main zippered compartment with an internal water bottle holder and a laptop sleeve, in addition to one external pocket on each side. The backpack also comes with a small zippered pouch attached to a leash, which is perfect for keys and/or AirPods.

NBC Selected senior editor Shalwah Evans considers herself a bonafide backpack hater (when it comes to pairing with work clothes) and she said she would actually wear this to the office.

Calpak’s Vault Collection is a lineup of suitcases made from ultra-durable aluminum material. The suitcases, which come in carry-on, medium and large checked-luggage sizes, have wheels that spin 360 degrees, an adjustable handle, a removable divider panel on the inside, a built-in TSA-approved lock and additional handles on the side for easy handling in overhead bins and luggage racks. You can also remove and wash the interior lining of each suitcase.

Baby and family launches

Doona took its bestselling car seat-stroller and gave it a major upgrade. It now has three recline positions (sit, relax and lean back), an adjustable handle with a higher maximum height of 41.4 inches, a built-in storage basket and an integrated, easily adjustable harness and headrest so you never have to manually rethread it. Doona also added a larger UPF 50+ canopy, a step-on/step-off brake system and an improved shock absorption system for a smoother ride. Plus, there’s a soft opening mechanism when you’re transitioning from car seat to stroller mode.

This bottle warmer has two separate modes that makes it great for combo feeding: one setting is specifically designed for breastmilk and uses a gentle water bath to warm or defrost it, and the other uses steam to warm up formula and baby food in about two minutes, according to the brand. The warmer accommodates nearly all bottles, milk storage bags and baby food jars, and it automatically shuts off when it’s done.

The new version of Lalo’s high chair stems from real parent feedback. The legs tuck in tighter, which helps those with little kitchen space, and it has both an adjustable back and footrest, making starting solids easier and safer, according to the brand. The chair also has silicone straps with a magnetic buckle and a tray that you can easily remove using one hand. It adjusts five different ways to make it functional as your child grows; it converts into a booster seat, child chair, play chair and play stool.

Earlier this month, model and influencer Olivia Culpo launched her Target-exclusive brand, Picolette by Olivia Culpo, a 60-piece collection filled with adorably timeless baby clothing and accessories. Some of the collection’s bestsellers so far include a floral long-sleeve romper, plush stuffed animal, silicone sippy and snack cups, and this gingham-patterned case for baby wipes.

Take more control over pumping with this portable breast pump, which is an upgraded version of the BabyBuddha 2.0 that has an additional pumping mode and more comfort settings to choose from. It also comes with a complete sizing kit, so you won’t need to purchase an additional tool to make sure the pump is comfortable. The breast pump is compact, rechargeable and portable enough to take with you on the go, according to the brand.
