Carly Laipple, a physical education teacher at Taylor Hicks Elementary School in Prescott, Arizona came up with the idea to have 4th and 5th graders at the school fold 1,000 origami paper cranes to send to a school in Japan on the one-year anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami.
