Ahead of World Cup, cops focus on Rio’s favelas
Brazilian police forces are moving into an area of shanty towns in Rio de Janeiro in an effort to drive out drug-trafficking gangs. This so called “pacification” program is a key element of Rio’s efforts to improve public security before next year's World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, but not in favor with favela residents. ITV’s Nick Ravenscroft reports.
