Texas Gov. Primary Election Results: Abbott, O'Rourke win, NBC News projects

In the GOP primary, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, with more than $62 million in cash for his re-election campaign, a high approval rating among Republicans and an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, easily fended off multiple conservative challengers. He'll face Democrat Beto O’Rourke, a former U.S. congressman and presidential candidate, in November.
